Another try...
Well all, it has been way to long since the last time I blogged. I know there are like maybe 2 people who read this, but I figured it is a good way to keep track on what is going on.
I do alot of freelance web development and design work and was wondering if anyone has ever figured out an effect way to tell clients that their ideas just basically suck. Recently I was designing a new logo for an organization. I created some nice work, in fact several other designers that I know, thought the logo comps were really nice. Well this organization proceed to basically continue to change their ideas and thoughts of what they wanted. They had too many people with ideas. I realize this is a client and they are the customer, and I could produce something to go along with the lame ideas, but as a designer and taking pride in my work, it was hard. You try to be nice and try to lead them in another direction, but what do you do when they just won't listen? Do you walk away from the job and suggest they find someone else to do the work? Any ideas? I will let you know my actions that I took in a later post.
